Aging in Place is a concept that is based on the principle that members of the large and growing seniors population can remain where they live for as long as they are able. The key to the concept is to provide housing and healthcare alternatives that enable seniors to downsize to a well-organized community that will provide support services as needed.

None of this would have become a reality without those who are always willing to give of their time, talents and donations for the betterment of our island. LOHO is located in the Pacific Northwest, on Lopez Island, in the San Juan Islands, in Washington State. The islands are isolated from the mainland and are accessible only by the Washington State Ferries, small airplanes, and marine vessels.
